In September 2022, Maverick City Music announced that they were putting a “pause” on their professional relationship with Bowe due to “behavior that is inconsistent with our core values and beliefs.”

In the wake of the five-time Grammy Award-winning music collective’s announcement, Bowe said that he would be “taking time off social media to rest mentally and physically.”

Less than seven weeks later, Bowe was back on social media, sharing his music with fans.

Maverick City Music never shared what “behavior” got Bowe removed from the collective, but some have speculated that a pair of Instagram posts, including one that was sexually explicit, may have contributed to the decision.

Bowe is next scheduled to perform at an “Amen Nights” event on April 22 in Atlanta. Tickets are $35.

ChurchLeaders has reached out to the TRUE Music Label and is in the process of setting up an interview with Bowe.
