“Because I say, at the end of the day, you either trust the Lord or you die,” Metaxas concluded.

James Lindsay

Before Kirk interviewed author, mathematician, and cultural critic James Lindsay, he explained why he invited an atheist turned agnostic to speak at a pastor’s summit.

“He’s a wonderful man, and he knows the Word very well,” Kirk said. Kirk then asked if everyone who flew to get to the summit demanded that the pilots on their flights shared their faith. Further, he asked whether they would demand that a surgeon operating on their brain be a Christian.

“Sometimes there are some people that have some wisdom to share about something really important,” Kirk said. “And not only is he respectful, he says that without the church, you know, this woke stuff is going to take over everything.”

Lindsay warned that if the American church remains silence on issues regarding sin, such as the LGBTQ+ movement and Marxist ideologies, the freedom we know now in our nation will cease to exist.

During their discussion, Kirk said, “The secularists, they thrive on misrepresented viral moments…Realize you’re living through a mass ‘Operation Mockingbird’—intel agency creation to manipulate your emotions, the pathos against your logos to get you to do something out of fear, not of rationality or truth.”

“How many of these viral moments do we have to see that are then configured and edited before we realize that they’re playing with us to try to change the society,” Kirk asked.

Lindsay encouraged Christians to pray for those who are in direct opposition to their faith, adding, “Why not make it clear that you’re praying for them peacefully? We’re praying for these people to come back to peace and come back to truth. We’re praying for their health and prosperity. We’re praying for our country.”

“When you read that you should turn the other cheek, this is what is meant, if I might be so bold,” Lindsay mused. If they insult you, Lindsay argued, let them do so unopposed, and the world will see the kind of “monsters” they are. Lindsay said, “They lose when that happens.”
