Actor Kevin Sorbo Says He Can’t Get Hollywood Jobs Because of His Christian Beliefs

In 2014, Sorbo portrayed an antagonistic atheist professor in “God’s Not Dead,” the first in what would become a multi-film franchise, though Sorbo did not reprise his role.

This year, Sorbo starred in “Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist,” a film that is based on the bestselling “Left Behind” book series, co-authored by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. The series explores a world where Christians have been raptured from the world.

Sorbo also directed and stars in “Miracle in East Texas,” a film based on the real life events of two con men trying to convince a group of widows to invest in worthless oil wells during the Great Depression. The film is set to release in theaters on Oct. 29.
