Caleb Farley
Last month, Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley received prayer support from teammates when his father died in a house explosion. Teammate Kevin Byard told reporters, “Caleb’s a big believer, he has a lot of faith, and I just kind of told him to lean into his faith as hard as he’s ever done before.” The explosion, which occurred in North Carolina, was apparently caused by natural gas.
In 2018, Farley’s mother died of breast cancer. Her faith amid trials made a big impression on Caleb about the importance of having a close relationship with God. “That was the start of me maturing in my faith,” he told ESPN. Although Farley admitted that his mom’s death “hurt my faith in the beginning,” he added, “I believe you have to serve the Lord when it’s good and bad. I made the decision that I was going to trust God. I would be lost without him.”
After his father’s recent death, an emotional Farley, 24, told reporters that his dad was “a standup guy” who raised him “to be a standup guy.”
