Sorbo’s op-ed was part of ongoing marketing efforts for his new children’s book, “The Test of Lionhood.” Published by the often provocative Brave Books, “The Test of Lionhood” follows the journey of a young lion named Lucas “as he learns what it means to be a real lion through lessons like bravery and perseverance.”

“You want progressive masculinity to lead this century,” Sorbo said in a recent Brave Books advertisement. “But there’s only so far a man can get in high heels.” 

In another ad, Sorbo criticized “emasculated fem-boys” who enjoy drinking pumpkin spice lattes.

“Our daughters deserve better,” Sorbo said.

Sorbo is known for making inflammatory statements online, and has even received bans from Facebook and Linkedin for allegedly posting conspiracy theories related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
