From Soap Operas to the Great American Family Network
Lilley has enjoyed a robust acting career over the last decade. She played a supporting role in “The Artist,” a silent movie that won an Oscar back in 2011. Her onscreen work also includes roles on “Days of Our Lives” and “General Hospital.”
As a series regular off and on since 2013, Lilley portrayed Theresa Donovan on “Days of Our Lives,” and her role was recast earlier this year. It was no secret that Lilley was conflicted about her portrayal of Theresa.
“The truth of the matter is that from a human perspective, Theresa’s kind of a horrible person,” Lilley has explained. “But from a God perspective, she’s exactly who Christ came and died for,” Lilley added, referring to Romans 5 and Ephesians 3:18-19.
The most recent activity of Lilley’s career involves her romcoms for Hallmark, Lifetime, and the Great American Family network. In these television films, she follows a love interest through a series of plot twists and turns.
“A Paris Christmas Waltz,” Lilley’s newest release on the Great American Family network, sets her alongside Matthew Morrison for this seasonal, feel-good romcom. The two enlist in a professional dance competition in the enchanting Paris, France.
In the film, they’re an unlikely pair. Lilley plays an inexperienced dancer, Emma, while Morrison’s character is quite the professional.
“A Paris Christmas Waltz” is available to view on Great American Family as part of the network’s Great American Christmas event.
