McKissic fired back, writing in part: “[Moore’s] question is not the work of the devil…it’s simply a question. As you know Al Mohler argued for and protested in favor of ordaining women as pastors. Frank Page wrote an affirmative Ph.D. dissertation arguing for women pastors, approved at the time by SWBTS. There are many, many women serving on SBC church staff ministry teams today who carry the word ‘pastor’ in their job title.”
McKissic concluded, “And you have the unmitigated [gall], and audacity to call these churches and their leadership demonically influenced! Shame on you!”
