Moore warned anyone who uses Sprinkle’s resources to “throw them away. I would not recommend him to anyone. He’s practicing anthropology.”
Sharing why he wrote his new book, titled “The Lust of the Flesh: Thinking Biblically About ‘Sexual Orientation,’ Attraction, and Temptation,” Moore said, “Basically anything that’s contrary to God is sin. The way to deal with that is to repent and believe in Christ and to continue running to him.”
He continued, “So we turn from everything in us that’s contrary to God. So we don’t use anthropology or the study of our feelings to determine whether or not we’re sinning. Rather, we read the Bible, that iniquity is a sin that requires forgiveness (Exodus 34:6-9).”
“Preston Sprinkle and all these guys in the same-sex Christian movement send people running to the mirror to self-justify whether or not they are sinning,” Moore said. “And I want to send people running to Jesus.”
Moore believes that a same-sex attracted person is living in sin by not getting married to someone of the opposite sex. “That is not a biblical reason to reject the good gift of marriage,” Moore said.

“These folks don’t have the gift of singleness who are constantly talking about their attractions,” he added. “The only remedy for that burning desire biblically is to get married to a person of the opposite sex.”
