The country singer spent some time interpreting for Carlson what he sees as the meaning of the end times and discussing the Mark of the Beast, which Rich believes is a “system” for tracking people all over the world and which will put “a globalized stranglehold on the human population.” Other topics the two discussed were the Scofield Bible and Rich’s belief that Christians will experience some of the darkest events of the Apocalypse instead of being raptured beforehand.

During one part of the interview, Rich mentioned the Bible verse that instructs believers to pray for their enemies, stating “there’s a difference between our enemies and God’s enemies.” We should not pray for God’s enemies, he said. Rather, it’s “opposite of that.” Rich also claimed that there is “nowhere” where the Bible says that God loves everyone, and he cited Proverbs 6 and Psalm 139 in support of his point.
Elsewhere in the interview, Rich expressed that not only was it an act of God that Trump survived the assassination attempt but it was also God who allowed the attempted assassination to happen in the first place. He wondered if the U.S. will have a similar near-death experience given the evil in society and the fact the country is not immune from the “wrath of God.”
At one point, Carlson commented, “America’s a movie and we have no idea how it ends.”
