Before introducing a guest preacher, Lesmeister prayed:
Lord, we’re so grateful that your Word says in Philippians that he who began a good work in us is faithful to carry it out to completion. And we just acknowledge Lord that it was you who began a good work at Gateway Church almost 25 years ago. So Lord, it is your church and it’s your work that will continue to take it to completion. And you’ve been our shepherd through this whole season, through all the highs and all the lows, the hills and the valleys. Lord, we just thank you, and we pray for every person, Lord, who continues to experience the range of emotions like we do, that you would continue shepherding us into green pastures with the comfort of your rod and staff in Jesus’ name. Amen.
