Tim Tebow joined Shawn Ryan for a nearly three-and-a-half hour-long conversation that released Monday, May 12, and covered topics including how Tebow would present the gospel as a missionary, how he met and proposed to his wife Demi-Leigh, and his advocacy on behalf of people with special needs and children suffering sexual exploitation.

During the last hour of the conversation, Tebow described how his foundation took part in Operation Renewed Hope, partnering with the Cyber Crimes Center (C3) of the Unites States Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and other groups, including Interpol, Europol, and Google. Through this operation, they worked to identify children in a database that contains over 50,000 images of children being raped and abused.
“You are really kicking rocks over and doing a lot of good things,” Ryan commented. “What are some of the things that you’re encountering?”
Tebow answered that his team’s mission is to bring light to darkness and hope to the hurting. He noted that child abuse and exploitation are primarily perpetrated by children’s family members, most often their fathers. He then showed Ryan what he referred to as a “red dot map” of the Unites Sates from the Department of Justice.
“This is over the last 30 days,” said Tebow, explaining that “every red dot on that map is at least one unique IP address of individuals downloading, sharing, distributing child abuse and rape images [of children] under the age of 12.” There were so many red dots on the eastern side of the U.S. that the area appeared almost entirely red.
“There’s over 111,000 [unique IP addresses] just in the U.S.,” Tebow said, again noting that the map is only displaying “the last 30 days.”
“Wow,” said Ryan.

“I wanted to bring that,” said Tebow, “because I think it brings to life so much of the evil that we’re trying to face. And people will say, ‘Well, that’s just over there, and it’s in those countries, and it’s all of those places,’ and it’s not Shawn. It’s right here in our backyard.”
People also claim, Tebow said, that “well, they’re [only] downloading and sharing and distributing it.”
“But they’re not,” he emphasized. “Fifty-five to 85% are also hands-on offenders. And your average offender has 13 victims in their lifetime—13 victims. Every one of those red dots is, there’s a boy or girl that is suffering on the other end of what they’re sharing, downloading, or distributing.”
