Frank Has Written New Songs To Process His Recovery

The two-time GMA Dove Award-winner has consistently topped the Billboard charts with his music. Forrest Frank has released eight albums, including his debut album, “Warm” (2018).

As he processed the whole story and extent of his skateboarding accident, Frank was wrestling with God. He remembered calling out, “Whatever you want for me, I will do it.” Frank continued, “Lord, direct my compass.”

Soon after the accident, while in bed recovering, Frank wrote, “God’s Got My Back.” Soon after, he penned the song, “LEMONADE,” based on a comment he made about turning “lemons into lemonade.”

LEMONADE” was released on Aug. 1. Some of the lyrics include:

The love of God has got me clean, no Old Spice
That desert I was in was deep (Deep), so dry
But now I’m out here feeling free (I’m feeling free), so fly
I’m chillin’ in the shade
Life gave me some lemons
But my Jesus, he be makin’ lemonade

The love of God has got me clean, no Old Spice
That desert I was in was deep (Deep), so dry
But now I’m out here feeling free (I’m feeling free), so fly
I’m chillin’ in the shade
Life gave me some lemons
But my Jesus, he be makin’ lemonade (Aha), lemonade
My Jesus making lemonade (Aha), lemonade
I watch my worries wash a-way, lemonade
It’s gonna be okay
Life gave me some lemons
But my Jesus, He be makin’ lemonade

The “husband, father, and child of God” (as described on Instagram profile) is grateful to have documented his journey and knows God’s not done with him yet.
