Si Robertson, brother of the late “Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson, posted a moving tribute to Phil on Instagram Saturday, Aug. 30. “The Blind,” a movie based on the life of Phil and his wife, Kay, is currently back in theaters for a special five-day run, and “Uncle Si” encouraged people to go see it.
“Phil was my older brother for 77 years. We’re apart for now, but that ain’t nothing but a change of address for Phil,” said Si Robertson. “Watching The Blind come back to theaters this month hits me in a different way. It’s not just pictures and memories. It’s my brother’s life laid out for the world to see.”

Si Robertson: ‘It’s Not Too Late for Any of Us’
Phil Robertson was the creator of the Duck Commander, a patented duck call and the name of his multimillion dollar company. He and his family rose to fame through the reality show “Duck Dynasty,” which aired on A&E from 2012 to 2017 and spawned several spin-offs.
“Duck Dynasty” featured Phil and Kay, their sons Alan, Willie, Jase and Jep, and Phil’s brother, Si, among others. The episodes showed the family’s Christian faith and typically ended with them praying over meals. The show returned to A&E as “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” this past summer, with the first episode airing in June.
Phil Robertson’s health declined this year due to the patriarch battling Alzheimer’s disease, a blood disorder, and complications including a fractured back. He passed away on May 25 at the age of 79.
“The Blind,” originally released in September 2023, offers a raw look at the early stages of Phil and Kay Robertson’s marriage. The movie does not shy away from portraying Phil’s alcoholism, neglect of his family, and infidelity. The movie is also explicit about the fact that it was Jesus who redeemed Phil and his marriage.

“Look, we both made messes,” said Si Robertson of himself and his brother. “But watching that movie, you can feel it all the way to your bones that no matter how far you fall, God will pick you up, dust you off, and make you right. There’s nothing he can’t do. And there’s nothing we can do to make him stop loving us.”
