Spiritual leadership isn’t something better than, or above others, it’s a humble recognition that all of our efforts and outcomes are based on the favor, power and authority of Christ, not our own.

What is my aim in preaching? My good friend Ed Stetzer asked me that recently and it caused me to jot down some of my thoughts.

It’s very common to hear church leaders critique various strategies, and simultaneously advance others, based on their observations of the ministry stylings of Jesus.

If evil provides evidence against God, then shouldn’t goodness count as evidence for Him? And wouldn’t that be evidence against atheism? 

Leadership development fails because learning and training are often focused on the current role a person is playing rather than the role they will be playing in the future.

Fear is contagious, but so is gospel courage. Choose the courage Paul showed when he confronted Peter, Barnabas, and others because “they were not following the truth of the gospel message.”

As a leader, there have been times I was overwhelmed with the challenges and opportunities facing me. God seems to call me to huge tasks. Here are five encouragements if that's the case for you.

The problem is not the person who makes honest mistakes and corrects them. The problem is the person who makes careless mistakes or the same mistake over and over and over again.
