Craig Gross Has High Praise for the Spiritual Use of Cannabis

“My experience was a very positive one with marijuana. I’ve never abused it. I’ve never bought it illegally, and I didn’t even smoke it.”

“I think Christians sit on the sidelines of a lot of conversations.”

“For me, I would say slowing down my mind in a bit in order to connect in more of a heart space has become a very spiritual thing for me.”

“[Cannabis] has, I think, helped me connect in a spiritual way, and I don’t feel like I have to defend that or even explain my experience in hopes that you would have one.”

“Romans 14 talks about, some are going to eat meat, some are going to be vegetarians, but it’s really not our place to tell somebody what they can and can’t eat.”

“If somebody’s going to try cannabis, I’d never recommend just trying it by yourself. Talk to somebody who has some experience.”

“There’s a day coming when I think this will be legal in all our states, and people are going to be faced with a decision of, well, what do I know about this? And if we go to our churches now and we ask for answers, I think we’re going to get very little help from our pastors that are leading the churches when they’re afraid to talk about this.”

“If [cannabis] was created on Day 3 [of creation] and the plants were created for us, why do we want to think that this is just a new thing, that this wasn’t around?”

“I’m not reading anything about Jesus that says, ‘Hey. You can’t take something from the earth and use this.’”

“We’re on the right side of this conversation. I know it.”
