Small Group Leaders

By encouraging a new Christian to join a small group as soon as possible, the church can help foster consistent spiritual growth and prepare the individual to eventually utilize their own spiritual gifts for ministry.

“We started giving people permission to jump in. We’re asking for people who love people and love God. We want people who are willing to facilitate a healthy environment where connections can happen.”

What do people feel in your church? Are they connecting? Or do they leave your church no better than when they walked in the door?

I have witnessed these statements wreck the kind of community we’re all striving for in leading a small group.

Clearly you have more to do than you could or should be doing on your own. But, as you delegate to capable people, could it be demoralizing?
