4. Have fun together!
Laughing and playing together are the glue. So use that to connect preteens to their leaders, to the church, and, most importantly, to Jesus.
Brainstorm with volunteers to find funny videos, jokes, stories, games, and interactive experiences. Ask who can help you think up fun elements. Then find ways to include those in your program. Who’s the best leader to engage the kids? How can you better enjoy being together?
