“Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace,” he said. “If they do not. Future attacks would be far greater and a lot easier.”
As he closed his address, Trump thanked and said he loves God.
“I want to just thank everybody and in particular God. I want to just say we love you God and we love our great military, protect them,” Trump said. “God bless the Middle East. God bless Israel and God bless America.”
Christian Leaders Respond
Many Christian leaders commended Trump on social media for his decision to bomb Iran.
Franklin Graham, president and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association posted, “This morning we learned that the United States had executed military strikes to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Pray for our nation. Pray for President @realDonaldTrump and the leaders around him, and pray for our military.”
“Also pray for Israel today as they continue to receive missile attacks,” Graham added. “President Trump cited that Iran has long said, ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Israel.’ Their hate is real. Peace through strength is a true statement, but we must remember that God is our strength and ask for His help and direction.”
Pastor Jack Graham said, “As we gather in churches across America and around the world today, let us pray with thanksgiving that the nuclear threat of Iranian madmen is obliterated. Peace is gained through strength which our President understands.”
Graham asked for people to “pray for our military and remember the people of Israel who are under constant attack. Pray for Godly wisdom and moral clarity for President Trump and his team. In God we trust.”

Thanks to the resolve of our Commander in Chief and the courage and professionalism of our Armed Forces, America, Israel and the Free World are safer as a result.”
“Iran should now stand down and abandon any thought of retaliation against Americans or be prepared to face the consequences,” Pence continued, “Tonight President@realDonaldTrump proved again that the United States of America is the Leader of the Free World and America Stands with Israel. Thank You Mr. President and God Bless Our Troops. 🇺🇸🇮🇱”
