Wonder Project Releases Stunning First-Look Images for ‘House of David’ Season 2

The smash hit biblical drama “House of David” will debut its second season on Wonder Project’s exclusive Prime Video streaming service on Oct. 5.

On Thursday, Aug. 28, Wonder Project released first-look images of Season 2, a season that picks up right after the shepherd boy David’s defeat of the Philistine giant Goliath.

House of David” is created and directed by Wonder Project founder Jon Erwin and stars Michael Iskander as David, Ali Suliman (“Lone Survivor,” “Arthur the King”) as King Saul, Stephen Lang (“Avatar,” “Don’t Breathe”) as Samuel, and Ayelet Zurer (“Daredevil: Born Again,” “Man of Steel,” “Munich”) as Queen Ahinoam.

“House of David” became the No. 1 show on Prime Video in April. Season 2 will be Wonder Project’s first exclusive series to debut on its new Prime Video streaming platform.

At its launch on Oct. 5, the following series and mini-series will be included in the subscription’s streaming service: “Mr. Bean,” “Party of Five,” “Pride and Prejudice,” “Sherlock,” “The Conners,” and “The Mysterious Benedict Society.” In addition to those series, which will total more than 125 titles, the following movies will be included: “American Underdog,” “Dead Poets Society,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Jesus Revolution,” “Lincoln,” “My Girl,” “Rudy,” “The Sandlot,” “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” and “The Sound of Music.”

“House of David” Season 2 will continue the narrative of David, showing his rise to the throne. “As he navigates palace politics, his family’s jealousy, and a growing romance, David steps deeper into his destiny and learns what it means to become a great leader,” a recent press release explains.
