5. It Is Fun.

Lots of laughter is heard. Giggles are common. Games that connect to the lesson are used. “Sssshhhhh” is rarely uttered.

What is the number one question parents ask their children when they pick them up from their class?

“Did you have fun today?”

What are they asking by that question? They are asking…

“Did they keep your attention today?”

“Was it relevant to your life?”

“Did they meet your spiritual needs today?”

This past weekend, I was teaching in my church’s elementary environment. It was loud at times. So loud that I wondered if they could hear us in the adult service. Lots of laughing, talking and fun.

The kids left with a smile on their face and a truth from God’s Word in their heart. And I believe they will come back next week excited and ready to learn more about God in a kid-friendly environment.
