More Times to Lead Children in a Prayer

8. Pray for other people who need God’s help.

Next, use the power of prayer to bless others. This might be a friend in the hospital. A missionary overseas. People in other countries who face despair. An aunt in medical school who’s taking a big exam. This list goes on and on.

9. Pray with your child for God’s provision.

Perhaps your family needs a new vehicle or money for repairs. Maybe your child needs money for a soccer uniform, but the family budget is really tight. Pray for God to step in and provide.

10. Pray as a family about big decisions.

Finally, include children with certain family choices. Maybe a parent is making a big job change. Or you’re house-hunting or caring for grandparents.

Praying kids come from praying parents. Praying during the times mentioned here helps children become people of prayer and commitment to Christ. Nothing is more important than leading children in a prayer and praying with them.
