Rebecca King-Crews Receives a ‘Reborn’ Husband
As an actor, Terry Crews said he suffered from “major imposter syndrome.” He also felt shameful and suicidal, like “the dirtiest dog,” because of his porn addiction. Meanwhile, Rebecca had visions about what her husband was involved with, but whenever she confronted him, he denied it.
With the marriage crumbling, the Lord promised Rebecca she would have “a new marriage” and “a new man.” She was thrilled, she said, asking, “Where is he?” But soon afterward, God clarified, “It’ll be the old man reborn.”

Terry recounted being stuck in an East Coast blizzard in 2010, when Rebecca wouldn’t stop calling him from California. “God said, ‘If you don’t tell her, I’m done with you,’” he said. After the secret was out, healing still took years.
Rebecca argued with God about whether to give Terry another chance. As she came to terms with likely getting divorced, “God began to deal with me about forgiveness,” she said. God also reminded her about his promise of a new husband, showing her that Terry was “a new man…because he repented.”
When Rebecca told God it would be foolish for her to forgive her husband, God responded, “Then I’m the biggest fool in the universe.” God softened her heart, and Terry came home from rehab as “a completely different person,” she said. But it still took years to rebuild the marriage and restore trust.
Although Rebecca was tempted to leave and take her “half,” she realized, “That would be a shame, because I know the gift that’s on this man. I know the call that’s on this man. I know what God’s doing with him and going to do with him.” All the grace, Rebecca said, “came from Jesus.”
