Christianity Equals Joy and Relationship for This Mathematician

Danica McKellar—who, like friend Candace Cameron Bure, left the Hallmark Channel for Great American Family—has been vocal about the joy of following Jesus. The actor, who said she’s teaching her teenage son about Christianity, also revealed some misconceptions she had about the faith.

Previously, McKellar linked Christianity to rule-following and to ways it has “been misused.” In 2023, the actor said it was a “revelation” to discover that “you get to have a personal relationship with God” as a Christian. As for people who have misused the faith, McKellar said she realized, “Those aren’t authentic Christians.”

Last month, McKellar shared photos of her family worshiping together on Easter Sunday. “He is Risen!” she wrote. “Wherever you are, may you feel the abundance of His love today and always!”
