Jason Wright | Former Team President, Washington Commanders

The first Black team president in NFL history, Wright credits Jesus for transforming his life.
“If you want identity that’s real, Christ is it for you,” he said. “He gives peace that lasts beyond the field.”
Wright, who was active in the FCA, says he “would have come to a true and loving relationship with Christ quicker” if he had heard the gospel message from fellow Christian football NFL players. Pro athletes often “feel anxious” and have to put on “so many faces for so many people,” he says. “I tell people, ‘If you want that anxiety gone, if you want identity that’s real, if you’re sick of being tormented by what people think of you, Christ is it for you.’”
