Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers)
Quarterback Brock Purdy is entering his third NFL season and his first as a father. As ChurchLeaders reported, he and wife Jenna welcomed a baby girl in July. Purdy, 25, also has new financial security, after signing a five-year, $265 million contract extension with San Francisco.
Known for his poise and humility, Purdy has quickly become one of the league’s most outspoken Christians.
“Every time I step on the field, I want to bring God glory,” he said. “It’s not about me. It’s about Him.”
Purdy often posts Bible verses and says he strives to “be a light” to teammates through consistency, not perfection.
