Ben Roethlisberger Is Trusting God’s Plan in the Wake of Former Teammate Dwayne Haskins Tragic Death

“You are an amazing woman of faith and we trust you will get through this,” Roethlisberger concluded.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin expressed that he is praying for Haskins wife and spoke highly of Haskins, saying, “I am devastated and at a loss for words with the unfortunate passing of Dwayne Haskins. He quickly became part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh and was one of our hardest workers, both on the field, and in our community. Dwayne was a great teammate, but even more so a tremendous friend to so many. I am truly heartbroken. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Kalabrya, and his entire family during this difficult time.

Former NFL tight end and pro-life and anti-sex trafficking advocate, Benjamin Watson, tweeted, “My God. Lord bring comfort during this tragic time.”

Darrell Harrison, who is Grace to You’s social media dean, wrote, “On the death of #DwayneHaskins at 24 years of age, I understand what people mean when they say, ‘He had his whole life in front of him.’ But in God’s providence, Haskins’s ‘whole life’ was ordained to be only 24 years. Life is a vapor regardless of one’s age (James 4:13-14).”
