Over 1.4 Million People Join Hallow’s Prayer Challenge for Lent

On March 5, Jones posted a screenshot of Hallow in the No. 2 spot in the App Store. Hallow is currently ahead of Threads, Temu, Google, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Instagram, and is only being surpassed by ChatGPT.

Jones also shared an image showing that the Hallow app’s Lent prayer challenge had achieved the milestone of 1 million signups. “AHHH GOD IS GOOD!” he said. “Officially our biggest challenge ever!!”

On Ash Wednesday, Jones shared that the app had “our biggest spike ever in the history of Hallow. Bigger than the Super Bowl.” In 2024, Wahlberg and Roumie appeared in a 30-second commercial for the Hallow app during the Super Bowl, where they encouraged viewers to pray during the season of the Lent. Jones said at the time that the ad led to the app receiving the highest number of downloads it has ever achieved in one minute.
