Following months of silence on social media, Crist told his fans, “I can look at you eight months later and say that those choices were on me…I point the fingers at no one else but myself.” Crist acknowledged that he “had a problem and I needed to get some help.”
Crist said that the most embarrassing part for him was that he makes a living pointing out hypocrisy, but the biggest hypocrite was “me.”
“I was portraying a person on the internet that I was not behaving like privately,” he said.

As time went on, Crist shared how the prayers from his supporters during his time in therapy kept him on this earth even amid suicidal thoughts.
Many congratulated Crist and Fielder on their engagement. Sadie Robertson Huff wrote, “Yay!! Congrats!!👏👏👏👏,” and Matthew West posted, “Congratulations!”
