The Use of Influence
Streisand certainly has the right to leverage her fame and influence any way she chooses. That is not for anyone but to her decide.
However, the lesson for leaders is we must decide what issues we are going to deal with and how we should leverage our influence. Would we spend a phone call with Apple CEO Tim Cook talking about how Siri pronounces our name or would we use that time to advance something more significant?
Leaders, decide what you want to leverage your influence on and what problems you should help solve. Frankly, some problems are too small for you. Be prudent and use discernment. Don’t waste your influence.
