Messy Youth Group Games: 10 Fun Food-Related Activities for Kids

3. Chocolate Game

Although this food game isn’t very messy, it’s an all-time classic icebreaker. It would work well as the first in a series of food games, warming people up. And because most kids love chocolate, they’ll love this game.

2. Mr. Whippy

One player lies on the ground with an ice-cream cone in their mouth. Meanwhile, the rest of the team relays back and forth with a spoon full of ice cream (and other ingredients) to build the cone. Once it’s complete, the player must eat the entire ice cream cone without using their hands.

You can add in a judge who compares all the cone creations to see which looks best. This is definitely a game to play outside and in hot weather (so ice cream melts all over the player’s face)!

1. Messy Twister

Finally, my favorite messy food game is one of the messiest of all. It puts a food twist on the classic game of Twister. The best part? The game almost always ends in some sort of food battle. Pro Tip: Place paper plates a good distance away from each other. That way, players will have trouble staying upright!
