Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, delivered a powerful speech at her husband’s historic memorial service on Sunday, Sept. 21, telling the world that she forgives her husband’s assassin.
Charlie Kirk cofounded Turning Point USA (TPUSA) at the age of 18 and led the organization until he was fatally shot on Wednesday, Sept. 10, while speaking during his The American Comeback Tour stop at Utah Valley University. Kirk was 31.
ChurchLeaders attended the memorial service that was held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The stadium holds over 63,000 when hosting games for the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals but can be expanded to hold 73,000 when the field is removed. An overflow venue was opened for those who weren’t able to get into the stadium.
ChurchLeaders witnessed thousands of hopeful attendees being turned away due to capacity limits. Fox News reports an estimated 90,000 to 100,000 were in attendance for Charlie Kirk’s memorial.

Erika Kirk Remembers Her Husband in Front of Millions
Erika, who was announced as TPUSA’s new CEO and board chair last Thursday, followed Vance’s remarks regarding her husband. Displaying both emotion and strength, Erika shared her profound grief, describing Charlie’s assassination and the comfort she has found in her faith.
She highlighted Charlie’s dedication to his faith, his impact on young people, and his mission to revive the American family.
“Charlie delivered a speech onstage for our TPUSA Faith event,” Erika told the crowd, referring to a speech Charlie gave at AmericaFest 2023. “Charlie loves speaking off the cuff. He was very good at that without a script, so I personally didn’t know what he was going to say, and what he chose to speak about that day was his submission to the will of God.”
Erika continued, “He quoted one of his favorite Bible verses, Isaiah 6:8: And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.'”
