Benjamin Watson’s lengthy career as an NFL tight end yielded a Super Bowl championship and a Bart Starr Award for character and leadership. Since retiring, Watson has focused on family and marriage outreach, racial justice issues, and pro-life advocacy. The married father of seven is also an author, podcaster, and college football analyst.

Watson’s books include “The New Dad’s Playbook” and “Under Our Skin.” On Sept. 2, the retired athlete launched a new podcast, “The Just Life.”

In January 2023, after Buffalos’ Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during an NFL game, Watson shared the gospel message on CNN.

Watson, 44, doesn’t shy away from tough topics such as “wokeness” and trans athletes. His 2020 documentary “Divided Hearts of America” explores the abortion debate. In 2021, Watson criticized Planned Parenthood’s efforts to distance itself from founder Margaret Sanger, who supported eugenics.
