Jesus said, “There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s. But he shall receive an hundredfold… and in the world to come eternal life.” (Mark 10:29-30)
If our child made it to the big leagues and was set to make millions, but abruptly decided to give it all up to passionately pursue the Gospel, would we be sad or supportive? Based upon the emphasis we place upon that which is sports-related versus that which is spiritual in our own home, how are we leading our children to view these three things in light of eternity?
Do our children see the Gospel as being worth more than anything this world has to offer?
