10. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

Despite a 12-5 record, the Rams fell to the fifth seed in the NFC. But veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, 37, has post-season experience, a Super Bowl championship, and a stellar season on his side. Stafford, who’s leading the league in both passing yards and passing touchdowns, is a top candidate for NFL MVP.

In 2019, Stafford and his wife, Kelly, thanked people for praying for her brain-tumor surgery. “This Easter is the beginning of a new life for me,” Kelly wrote about the health scare. The couple send their four girls to a Christian school, with Kelly saying they want to “give [their children] the base and the values of Christianity every day, knowing they have something to turn back to if things get hard.”

11. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

Despite battling injuries this season, outspoken Christian Brock Purdy led the 49ers to a 12-5 record. Now the team is vying to play Super Bowl LX in its home stadium in Santa Clara, California. Purdy, a fourth-year pro out of Iowa State, has called his football success “a testament to God and where he’s taken me in life.”

The 26-year-old QB, a married father of a baby girl, supports Samaritan’s Purse through the NFL’s “My Cause, My Cleats” program. Purdy was among dozens of NFL athletes who recently signed a letter urging the United States to protect Nigerian Christians from persecution.

12. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

Quarterback Jordan Love, who’s been in Green Bay for his entire six-year career, grew up in a Christian home. Through his organization Hands of 10ve, he works to honor his father, a police officer who died by suicide when Jordan was 14.

Love, now 27, often wears an “I Am Second” bracelet as a reminder to put God first. “There’s a bigger meaning to life,” the QB said last spring. “It’s about touching people’s lives, not just focusing on our own.” Love and his wife, professional volleyball player Ronika Stone, recently announced they’re expecting their first child.
