“The kingdom of God is not every wish and every want, but it is provision for the vision,” she said. “The kingdom of God is, there is no lack in Christ. He will supply all your needs according to his riches and glory. The kingdom of God—there are 30 people right now that can give $1,000.”

Even if people only have $10 to give, they should give it, White-Cain said, urging attendees not “to leave until [they] put a seed and a sacrifice on this altar.’”

As she continued to exhort attendees to give, the pastor prayed against the “spirit of poverty” and asked God for redemption for sins having to do with money and poor decisions. “Now God, redeem us. We sincerely repent,” she said. “Now, redeem us. Redeem our mortgages. Come on. Redeem our budget. Redeem our income. Redeem our flow of finances.”

“God, we don’t believe that every time we give, you’re some Santa Clause that’s like a lotto machine. That’s not how this works,” said White-Cain. “This is about being in their arena and continually fighting.”

“Fighting against bills, fighting against unexpected things, fighting against a changing economy, fighting against whatever is coming against me,” she continued, “fighting against it, fighting against getting fired, fighting against not getting a full retirement.”

“They’re not my supplier. They’re not my source. God is my source. And just like the prophet said, he said, ‘Until I say it’s going to rain, it won’t rain,’” said White-Cain, alluding to the prophet Elijah. “He said, ‘But for everybody who understands how the kingdom works, you’re not going to lack.’”

“You will not be buried in debt. You will be the head and not the tail. You will not lack. I break the spirit of poverty. I break the spirit of fear. Come on and take this,” the pastor went on. “Take poverty and debt like it’s a cancer eating away at your life and put it at this altar. Put it at this altar. Say, ‘God, I’m redeemed in the name of Jesus by the blood of Jesus.’”

Eventually, White-Cain brought her tone down, indicated the music should stop, and explained why she had done what she had. Quoting the Bible verse about one’s treasure being where one’s heart is, she said, “It is not a money issue. It’s a heart issue.”

“Now, if your heart can’t let go of what is mammon—this is mammon, guys,” said White-Cain, picking up an offering envelope and holding it up. “It’s the least thing you need to fulfill the kingdom of God.”

White-Cain later said she was going to lay hands on people but that they needed to be ready before she did. Being ready, she explained, meant repenting of their sin and trusting in Jesus if they had not yet done so. “If I lay my hands on someone not saved,” she said. “I’m probably going to cause you a whole lot more trouble.”
