3. Morice Norris (TBD)

Another undrafted player, cornerback Morice Norris, shared his faith after a frightening preseason injury. On Aug. 8, the 24-year-old out of Fresno State took a hard hit to the head while playing for the Detroit Lions. For almost 20 minutes, Norris remained motionless on the field as medical staff attended to him.

After Norris was transported to the hospital, the game was called in the early fourth quarter. Last week, the Lions cut Norris from their roster.

Hours before his injury, Norris had shared a devotional titled “Trust Jesus With What’s Ahead.” It focused on giving your worries to God, trusting him, and walking “forward with peace instead of fear.”

A few days after his on-field scare, Norris thanked people for their support and prayers. “God is truly amazing,” he wrote. “Starting this journey I put my complete faith in him walked the path he has already pre-set for me without fear. I will forever be grateful for the trials and obstacles he places in front of me because I know I have nothing to fear.”
