5. Treylon Burks (TBD)

During three seasons with the Tennessee Titans, Treylon Burks was plagued with injuries. Last season Burks tore his ACL, and last month he broke his collarbone during training camp. The Titans recently waived him, so Burks is on injured reserve awaiting a trade.

Despite the setbacks, the 25-year-old wide receiver remains committed to “leaning on God.” He said he has “never questioned God, like, ‘Why me?’” Instead, having to sit out has made him “miss [football] more,” Burks explained. “I don’t take it for granted.”

The 2022 first-round pick, a married father of one, credits God for giving him grace and courage. Playing football at the highest level “means more when you are able to do it for…a bigger purpose than just yourself,” Burks said.
