Hunter Henry

New England Patriots tight end (and pastor’s son) Hunter Henry has his priorities straight: “The main thing that I am is God’s son, and I’m a believer,” he told ESPN in 2021. “I have a lot of faith [in] who God is and who he is in my life.”

Henry tries to live according to John 3:30—“He must become greater; I must become less.” That simple but powerful Bible verse has “so many applications,” he says, including “to be humbled, to be humbled before God, to be humbled before your teammates, to be humbled before just everybody.” Henry adds that Jesus “needs to be the light before everything.”

In February 2020, the athlete shared photos of him and his wife being baptized in the Jordan River.
