Quarterback Dak Prescott, who’s about to begin his 10th season in Dallas, has modeled how to overcome adversity while trusting God. After a season-ending injury in 2020, the QB shared this hope-filled message with fans:

I’m just excited—excited for God’s purpose and plan. I know it’s bigger than anything that I see, or I could have imagined, but I’m trusting in Him. My faith is doubled down more than ever, and I’m thankful that He’s my Savior and He guides me in life. So I know through Him, all this will be possible, and all this will be a great comeback.

In 2013 Prescott lost his mom to cancer, and seven years later he lost a brother to suicide. The athlete honors them through his Faith Fight Finish Foundation. “My Mom left me the word FAITH to live out for a reason,” he wrote.
