12. Tim Tebow

Another former NFL player known for being outspoken about his Christian faith, Tim Tebow is also known for his philanthropy. Tebow became known years ago for putting Bible verses on his eye black during football games, for kneeling to pray on the field, and for saying that he planned to save sex for marriage. 

Tebow shared his story about the Bible verses at the Passion Conference in 2018. His charity work includes putting on “Night to Shine” events (prom nights for people with special needs who are age 14 or older), sharing the gospel with inmates in prison, and fighting human trafficking. 

In January 2020, Tebow married former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters in Cape Town, South Africa. In January 2021, Tebow published his first children’s book, “Bronco and Friends: A Party to Remember,” with the goal of sharing the gospel with kids.
